Shipping Advisory.
(Yes, we know it's long but spending 10 minutes reading this page can save you DAYS in shipping and endless headaches!)

**** Shipping Status: YRC (Yellow Freight) has filed for bankruptcy. YRC is the largest trucking carrier and this is putting a strain on the entire trucking industry which is already under a lot stain. So what was a bad situation has gotten worse. Expect higher costs for LTL orders. (Pallets of pipe, rolls of pipe 2.5" and larger, and large stocking orders of PVC Fittings, etc.) We will always let you know if it's over the carts estimate. ****

Important Update for Next Day, 2 Day and 3 Day shipments:

UPS has updated their policy on refunds for delayed shipments. They will no longer refund shipping for delayed items which they claim requires "additional handling"

*** Verbatim from UPS ***

Additional Handling applies for any package that requires special handling, as determined by UPS in its sole discretion, including, but not limited to:

  • - Any package not fully encased in a corrugated cardboard shipping container (e.g. tires).
  • - Any package weighing more than 50 pounds.
  • - Any package with its length (longest side of the package) plus girth [(2 x width) + (2 x height)] combined exceeding 105 inches.
  • - Any package with the longest side exceeding 48 inches.
  • - Any package with its second-longest side exceeding 30 inches.
  • - Any other package that requires special handling, as determined by UPS in its sole discretion. (*This is the killer. UPS is now the "We Say So Company" and if they say so we are all stuck with it. They have also tacked on fees for "additional handling" as well as slower shipping.)

As stated in the UPS Terms and Conditions, packages subject to "additional handling" are not eligible for a refund and they could be delayed.

Important Update for Credit and Debit Card Orders:

Everyone is in a hurry, so here are some things you can do to get your order in the shortest amount of time.

#1. Orders shipping to the verified address for the card are being shipped first. These are AVS codes: A, B, C, F, X, Y, and M (see AVS Codes Explained for what that means.) Expedited orders (Next Day Air, 2nd Day Air, etc.) are still subject to the AVS code, so shipping to a verified address will assure your order ships out the fastest.

#2. Orders with codes P, T, W, and Z are a gray area. If you are a repeat customer we ship pretty fast. Non-repeat customers can take a few minutes up to a few days to verify, it just depends on how quickly you respond to our email asking for verification.

#3. Orders with codes S, R, U, N, C, G, and I are manually reviewed and the ones with the highest likelyhood of being delayed. If your project is time sensitive, PLEASE ship to a verified address!

#4. Due to circumstances outside of our control, (weather, fires, politics, the tribulation, etc.) order processing time & shipping time has increased. Rush orders are being processed as fast as we can. Ground shipping is taking a little longer than normal, but we are still getting orders out within 1-3 days. (based on AVS codes above.) If you'd like more information click on our "Why all the delays and shortages" video.

#5. The shipping charges shown in your cart are an ESTIMATE. Shipping charges have gone through the roof since March 2021. We are trying to honor all estimates but orders over $200 or orders with long piece of pipe (flex or rigid) the shipping prices are subject to change. Any order that has to ship via LTL (Less Than Load, Truck Freight) could be subject to additional shipping charges as well. We will do our best, but do not be surprised if we have to contact you for authorization for additional shipping charges. These days the "fuel surcharge" is what we used to pay for the entire shipment. Until sanity is restored to the system, this is going to be the standard. Thank you for your understanding.

#6. Most items are in back in stock. We generally have enough to cover normal orders, but if you are trying to stock up, those orders may be delayed. email us if you need more info.

#7. The shortages are caused by: Government lock downs, weather, fires, lack of people working, container shortage, chip shortages, hackers, etc. For more information see our video: Why all the disruption to the supply chain? and review the links under the video (Click on "show more.")

#8. It's only going to get worse, so plan accordingly.
