This is the tool you need to cut out a piece of pipe from within the fitting. This one is for 1/2" pipe. ie, it cuts a .840" hole to glue a new piece of pipe into the fitting. Good for sch 40 or 80, requires a 3/8" HD drill.

3239 Inside Pipe Cutter 3/4in pipe

This is the tool you need to cut out a piece of pipe from within the fitting. This one is for 3/4" pipe. ie, it cuts a 1.05" hole to glue a new piece of pipe into the fitting. Good for sch 40 or 80, or class 200, and requires a 3/8" HD drill.
